About The School
To foster independence and the mastery of self and the environment are the goals of Wheaton Montessori School. The school is designed to encourage and nurture the children in the self-discovery of their world. The curriculum has been developed to encourage the children in a life-long love of learning.
Wheaton Montessori was founded in 2000 with only a handful of students. Today we are proud to serve three full primary classrooms, a thriving elementary program, and our inaugural class of junior high students. Through this period of astonishing growth, we have consistently provided what is confirmed by both the parents of our students and the Association Montessori International (AMI) as an excellent example of Montessori education. Wheaton Montessori School is one out of only five AMI certified schools through age 12 in Illinois. For more information about their rigorous standards, visit AMI School Standards.
This growth would not be possible without the fundraising efforts of our annual auction event. We ask each and every family to get involved by attending the event, soliciting businesses for auction item donations, and seeking out potential sponsorship support. If you are interested in more information about how you can get involved please contact one of the auction committee members or inquire with Rebecca Lingo.
